Getting a card, renewing materials, placing holds, etc.
Who can get a card
People who live inside the city limits of a city with a participating CCRLS Library, or pelple who pay property taxes on property inside Sheridan City limits. We must see your most recent property tax statement or receipt which shows the tax lot number and address.
How to Get Your Card
Borrowing privileges are restricted to library card holders. To abtain a Chemeketa Cooperative Regional Library Service card applicants must provide valid, current photo identification (i.e. Oregon State issued ID, U.S. Passport, Federal or State issued Identification badge ) and verifiable proof of residence with applicant's name and address, such as utility bill, bank statement, rental agreement/receipt issued within the past 30 days.
In the case of a new resident who has not yet ofbained valid Oregon photo ID, we will issue one card to the family with the UP status(Until Proof) which will allow one item at a time until all identification has been presented and verified.
Types of Library Cards
Patrons who live within the city limits of any participating CCRLS Library may apply for a full service card. Partons living outside of city limits are entitled to a basic card or may pay the fee and recieve a full service card.
Borrowing Limits
Adults: Limited to 50 items, any type
Young Adults: ages 14-18, limited to 25 items
Children through age 13: limited to 25 items
Children and YA materials are kept in the children's roomand their cards are limited to these items.
Placing Holds
Holds may be placed by the patron using the public access catalog
Renewing Your Borrowed Items
Patrons may renew items once unless there is a hold waiting.
